The CS1D adds various dual redundancy options to the proven CS1 architecture to ensure 24-hour operation without downtime. Duplex CPUs, with or without loop control functions, are continuously cross-checked, without the user having to write special programs. An even simpler way to increase system availability is to use dual power supply cards. Hot-swapping CPUs, power supplies, and I/O cards allows for system maintenance with little or no process interruption. Choose the required level of redundancy; CPU, power supply, communication. No special programming tools or software utilities are required.
