Features
EtherCAT is an extremely fast industrial automation network using standard Ethernet cabling. It optimizes the utilization of standard Ethernet transmission frames by allowing each node to access the entire frame instantly. This reduces the delay in each slave to a few microseconds. Its deterministic nature makes EtherCAT the ideal basis for motion control. Omron offers both standalone PLC-based and EtherCAT-based motion control solutions.
