Features
EtherCAT is an extremely fast industrial automation network using standard Ethernet cabling. It optimizes the utilization of standard Ethernet transmission frames by allowing each node to access the entire frame instantly. This reduces the delay in each slave to a few microseconds. Its deterministic nature makes EtherCAT the ideal basis for motion control. Omron offers both standalone PLC-based and EtherCAT-based motion control solutions. The GX series I/O cards provide the basic inputs and outputs for these systems, including high-speed encoder inputs used to transmit position information to the controller. Compact IP20 housing
